A watershed for Apple and Microsoft?

General Manager at Four J’s Development Tools

The day I have been waiting for finallly arrived last Friday. I signed up for Office 365, downloaded the freshly announced Office for iPad app and began merrily poking around with my budgets, presentations and contracts. It’s not bad at all – even though I can’t print anything yet. I suppose Microsoft is gently dipping its toes in the water, before diving in full length. All of my favourite files are there via Microsoft’s One Drive Cloud offering. I am not quite ready to get on a plane without a PC yet, but that day is nearing.

About 24 hours after debuting on the iOS App Store, Microsoft’s Office for iPad productivity suite has taken over the first three Top Free Apps seats, with the fourth going to the redesigned OneNote.
