Business Record diagram

A Business Record diagram is used to define a data set.

When part of a form, the Records tab is one of two tabs displayed when the form is opened. Selecting a record in the diagram takes you to the record in the Form Structure view.

This figure is a screenshot of a Business Record diagram as seen in a form file.
When not part of a form (such as for Report Data or a Web Service without a form interface), the Business Record diagram displays directly in the central workspace. There are no tabs. Clicking on a record in the diagram takes you to the record's entry in the Structure View.

You can filter what items are shown in the Form Structure view or Structure View by using the Filter items field located at the bottom of the view.

Tip: To have Genero Studio rearrange the layout of the records in a Business Record diagram, right-click anywhere in the diagram and select Layout Diagram.
